Crosscountry skiing tour in Kamchatka

Trip №5. Ski tour across the Nalychevo River valley.

Operation period - from April 10 till May 20.

This tour is meant for tourists with average physical training: approximately 6 hours of back-country skiing a day with a backpack of 10-12 kg.

On the tour you will visit unique places of Kamchatka: the biggest concentration of Kamchatka’s hot springs located in the area of the Nalychevo River valley, natural narzans and mud pots. You will enjoy skiing and get perfect sun tan. This trip gives you an opportunity to see wild nature of Kamchatka.

Schedule:
1st day.Arrival at the airport. Transfer to Paratunka resort area (30 km). Accommodation, rest, swimming in hot thermal water pool.
2nd day.Helicopter flight to Talovskiye hot springs in the Nalychevo River valley (40 minutes flight). Observing active volcanoes Avacha and Koryaksky during the flight. Talovskiye hot springs are pristine thermal springs located along the both banks of the Talovaya river. Accommodation in a wooden lodge. Bathing in thermal springs.
3rd day.Rest. Skiing for pleasure. Swimming in thermal springs. Accommodation for night in a wooden lodge.
4th day.Back-country skiing to Nalychevskie hot springs, visiting Krayevedcheskie springs on the way (12 km). Accommodation in a wooden lodge.
5th day.Rest. Swimming in thermal springs. Skiing to boiling mud pots and mud siphons. Visiting the Nalychevo Park museum. Accommodation in a wooden lodge.
6th day.Back-country skiing to the Pinachevo river valley across the Pinachevo pass (1.160 m). From the top of the pass you can enjoy stunning scenery and views to Koryacksky, Aag and Arik volcanoes. Riding down the pass takes quite long and brings a lot of pleasure. Accommodation in a wooden lodge.
7th day.Back-country skiing down the valley to Pinachevo village (27 km). Driving back by car to the resort area. Accommodation, rest, swimming in thermal water pool.
8th day.Spare day in case of snowstorm. This day is added to the skiing part of the tour in case of bad weather, snowstorms when skiing is extremely difficult.
9th day.City- tour. Visit to the Museum of Local Studies. Visiting fish market. Purchasing souvenirs.
10th day. Transfer to the airport.

The tour cost:
group 2-3 persons - 98 000 roubles for one person
4-5 persons - 74 000 roubles,
6-7 persons - 63 000 roubles,
8 and > - 57 000 roubles.

The extra pay for the accommodation in a single department is 5 000 roubles.

The tourists themselves carry all personal equipment and food. In case of necessity and for extra fee it is possible to use services of porters and a satellite phone.

Each participant of the crosscountry skiing trip must have a backpack, a sleeping bag, a rug, additional warm footwear, skis, means of personal hygiene, a bathing suit, and sunglasses.
