Trekking trip on Kamchatka

Tour N 15. Trekking to the volcanoes and the hot springs of the Nature Park "Nalychevo"

The best period for the trip: since June 15 till September 15.

Dates of arrivals for 2008: on July, 4, on July, 13, on July, 22, on July, 31, on August, 9, on August, 18, on August, 27.

Tour is good for tourists of average physical training (about 6 hours a day with 10-15kg of weight).

The tour takes place in the valley surrounded by mountain rages and magnificent volcanoes. During the tour you'll ascend to the following volcanoes: Avachinsky (2741m), Dzenzur (2155m), and Kupol (Cupola) (1674). You'll visit the biggest accumulation of the hot springs in Kamchatka in the Nalychevo valley. You'll see the natural narzans. 1st day. Arrival at the airport, transfer to Petropavlovsk-Kamchatski (20km). Accommodation at a hotel, rest. Examination of tourist outfit.
2nd day. Driving to Avacha volcano by "off road" car (45km). Excursion walk to the foot of Koryaksky volcano. Spending the night in houses.
3rd day.Ascent to Avachinsky volcano (2749m). Walk at the young cone of the volcano. From the edge of the volcano a spectacular view is opened: Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky, Elizovo, the valley of the Avacha river and Avacha Bay, Viluchinsky, Mutnovsky and Gorely volcanoes to the south; massive cone of Koryaksky volcano to the west; the valley of the Nalychevo river and Zhupanovsky and Dzenzur volcanoes to the north. If it's difficult to ascend to anybody, you can return to the camp. Ascending takes about 6 - 8 hours. Spending the night in houses.
4th day.Trek to the valley of the Pravaya Sedlovinskaya (Right Col) river, across the Avacha pass (1268m), situated between Koryaksky & Avachinsky volcanoes. Between the sources of the Pravaya Sedlovinskaya (Right Col) river the springs well up from the earth. Here the group stays for rest. Spending the night at tents. Kamchatka tour
5th day. Trek to the valley of the Shumnaya (Noisy) river (13km), it goes across the short pass of the range of Koryaksky volcano. The pass is 1203 m high. Then descent to the valley of Levaya (Left) Nalychevo river. Crossing the river, the tourists go past the short range and descent to the right tributary of the Shumnaya (Noisy) river, where tourists stay for a night (18 km). Spending the night in tents.
6th day. The rout goes across cold mineral springs - the Aag narzans (13km). From the springs sights one can see Vershinsky (Top) and Kupol (Cupola) volcanoes. From the Aag springs there is a path to the Nalychevo hot springs (13). Bathing in the hot springs. Spending the night in houses.
7th day.Rest-day. Bathing in the hot springs, picking up the berries, sightseeing. This day, depending on wish and how the group feels, it's possible to ascend to the extinct Volcano of Kupol (Cupola), or go to Mountain lake Vershinskoye (Top), or to go on the excursion to the Zheltopechensky (Yellow river) springs.
8th day.Trek to the Talovsky thermal springs (12km). The tour goes on the path in the valley of the Shaibnaya (Puck) river. After 8km of hiking, tourists come to the Krayevedchesky hot springs, situated at the foot of Talovaya mountain. Then they go to the Talovaya hot springs, the outlets of which are on the either bank of the Talovaya river. Over the springs there are hot mud in a small bog . Spending the night in tents. Bathing in hot springs.
9th day. Ascent to active volcano Dzenzur (2155m). You ascend in the narrow picturesque cleft of the Zhelob (Gutter) stream, flowing from the caldera of Dzenzur volcano and on the crest of the lava stream up to the fumarole site, which is situatedat the wall of the caldera board. If the ascent is difficult you can return to the camp.
10th day.Rest day. Excursion to the Solony (Salty) stream, on the either sides of which thermal water springs and hot mud are situated.
11th day.Return to the Nalychevsky hot springs visitating the Teplorechensky hot springs (12km). Spending the night in houses.
12th day. Crossing the Pinachevsky pass (1160m) to the valley of the Pinachevo river (26km). From the pass you can observe Koryakski, Aag and Arik volcanoes. The route goes through the wonderful birch forest. Small grass grows on the pass. Spending the night at tents.
13th day. Trek down at the valley of the Pinachevo river. The trek takes place through the birch forest, crossing small ravines. Driving to the resort by car from Pinachevo village (55km). Accommodation, rest, bathing.
14th day. Visiting fish market. Shopping (souvenirs). Transfer to the airport.


The cost of this tour for 1 person is 960 EURO
Cost includes:

1. Meal 3 times a day during the whole tour.
2. Service of guide (the whole tour).
3. Service of cook (the whole tour).
4. Service of interpreter (the whole tour).
5. Base equipment (tents, etc.)
6. Transport service (bus, car).
7. Residence at resort and at hotel.
8. Visa support and registration.

Cost not includes:

1. Buying of alcohol, cigarettes.
2. Buying of souvenirs.

Tourists themselves carry all their equipment and food.If it's necessary there is an opportunity to use service of porters and satellite phone for extra fee.

Every member of the tour should have a back pack, a sleeping bag, a tourist rug, strong boots, things for self hygiene, things for bathing.
